this country, in order that arrangements can be made

for their journey.

7. I take this opportunity of enclosing for

your information 3 copies of the first Works

Progress Reports on the first five Hong Kong engineering

apprenticeship students, covering the period from the

commencement of their training to the 31st December

1946. This statement of reports does not include the

processes in which each apprentice received training

during the period in question, but if such particulars

are desired the F. B. I. will gladly furnish them.

8. I also enclose for your information & copies of

the application for an interim free grant of £1,000 in

of scholastifis respect of the second batch (C. D. W. A. C. No.891), referred

to in para. 2 above, which was approved as sceheme No. D. 768.
